What is Daily Advance?

  • What is Daily Advance?

Daily Advance gives businesses faster access to revenue they’ve already earned on marketplaces and platforms. Instead of waiting weeks for a payout, businesses receive their revenue the day after they make a sale.

Unlike loans or credit products, Daily Advance is based on sales that have already happened. It shortens the time between sale and payout.

  • Who is Daily Advance designed for?

Fast moving businesses who need to increase their cash flow to keep up with demand. Typically, businesses using Daily Advance have over $1M in annual net sales.

  • How does Daily Advance make a difference to businesses?

Daily Advance shortens your cash cycle – the time between cash leaving your business and getting it back in payouts from your platform. The faster you can recycle your cash, the more you can sell.

See the impact that Daily Advance could have on your business with our growth simulator.

  • Which marketplaces and platforms is Daily Advance available on?

Daily Advance is available on marketplaces and platforms globally including retail ecommerce, social commerce, travel, and services platforms. New platforms are regularly added.

    See the full list.

  • Is Daily Advance just another form of lending?

No. Daily Advance is fundamentally different from loans, credit lines, or Merchant Cash Advance. These forms of financing give you new money that must be repaid over time. Daily Advance simply gives you earlier access to revenue you have already earned on a marketplace or platform. You’re not increasing your debt – you’re shortening the time between sale and payment.

  • Is Storfund registered with a regulatory body?

Yes. We are registered and supervised for anti-money laundering purposes only by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority. Our FCA Firm Reference number is 807894.

How does Daily Advance work?

  • How does Daily Advance work, step by step?

Once activated, Daily Advance runs automatically every day:

    • Keep selling!
    • Storfund calculates your advance – 80% of your net fulfilled sales each day – and funds hit your account the next business day.
    • Your payouts run as normal. Storfund gets repaid and takes a fee. You receive the remainder.
  • What counts as a “fulfilled sale”?

When item is shipped, a service is delivered or an order completed.

  • How do you get my sales data?

Storfund integrates with marketplaces and platforms via API. This means there’s no need to request payments or submit sales data.

  • How much will I receive each day?

You will receive up to 80% of your net, fulfilled sales each day.

Net sales = Gross sales minus fees and refunds.

Fulfilled = Item shipped, booking fulfilled, order completed.

  • Why do I only receive 80%?

This accounts for potential refunds and chargebacks. The remaining 20% is paid to you on your normal payout schedule.

  • Is Storfund holding the remaining 20%?

No. The 80% is advanced from our own money. When your marketplace/platform pays out, we get repaid for our advance, and we immediately send the remaining 20% to you, minus our fee.

  • What’s the maximum I can receive?

There is no limit to how much you can receive each day. For a small number of customers we agree on a daily cap, this will always be discussed with you first.

  • What if my sales spike?

Daily Advance scales automatically with your sales. If your sales increase, the amount you receive increases. If sales slow down, the amount advanced decreases accordingly.

  • When do I receive my advances?

The next business day after you fulfil a sale.

  • Can the advance be used for anything related to my business?

Yes, you can use your advance for any business costs such as paying suppliers, staff, tax and marketing costs.

  • How does Storfund get repaid?

Repayment happens automatically when the platform payout occurs. No manual repayments are required by you.

  • Can I end up owing money?

Daily Advance is funded from your earned revenue. If sales slow or refunds increase, advances adjust automatically.

  • Can I stop using Daily Advance?

Yes. You can stop at any time.

Daily Advance compared to other financing

  • I have a credit line, why do I need Daily Advance?

Daily Advance and a credit line are different forms of financing: a credit line is extra money which needs to be paid back; Daily Advance is money you have already earned, just faster. A credit line has a limit, Daily Advance scales with your sales.

The two work well together. Your credit line is limited so works well for unexpected short term needs, while Daily Advance keeps your cash flowing.

  • Is Daily Advance a loan?

No. Daily Advance is not a loan. A loan – or any form of credit like Merchant Cash Advance – provides new money that must be repaid over time. Daily Advance simply provides earlier access to your sales revenue. You are not taking on debt – you are accelerating your cash flow.

Many customers combine the two forms of financing: Daily Advance unlocks money for sales you have already made but have not yet received payment for. A credit line supports general overheads, pre-production costs, or unexpected expenses.

  • What is the APR?

Daily Advance is not a loan, so it doesn’t have an APR. APR assumes you borrow once and repay over time. Daily Advance is continuous, your balance changes every day. With Daily Advance, there is:

    • No interest rate
    • No compounding
    • No fixed repayment schedule

You’re accessing revenue you’ve already earned – not borrowing against the future.

Fees

  • Are there hidden fees or minimum commitments?

None. No interest, no subscription, no setup fee. Pay for what you receive, stop whenever you want, no cancellation fee.

  • What will I pay?

Typically, users of Daily Advance pay 1% – 2.5% of their net revenue on the platform where they sell.

    • You can think of it annually: If your revenue is $1M each year after platform/marketplace fees, you’ll pay around $10K – $25K in fees for Daily Advance.
    • Or you think of it as a cost per sale: If you make $100 net revenue from the sale of a mobile phone or a taxi ride, you’ll pay $1 – $2.5 to receive that money sooner.

You can see a personalised fee simulation before committing.

  • How do I get a fee simulation?

Connect your platform to Storfund and we will run a simulation with your sales data, so you can see:

    • What you would have paid last month
    • What you would have paid over the past year
  • How is my fee calculated?

    Here’s how it works:

    • Each day we add up the advances you’ve received.
    • Then we minus platform payouts.
    • We charge a fixed fee on this amount, equivalent to 0.3% or less per day.

Example at 0.3%. Your fee will never be higher than this:

    • Monday: $1,000 advance = $3 fee
    • Tuesday: $1,000 advance. $2,000 total = $6 fee
    • Wednesday: $1,500 platform payout. $500 total = $1.5 fee

When you stop, the fees stop. No fixed term, no long-term commitment.

  • What does my fee pay for?

Unlike many other tech businesses, we haven’t taken venture capital, so your fees only fund our business. That means we are working for you, not external shareholders. Our clients are valuable to us and we will always try to keep your fee as low as we can.

  • How can I track my fees and what you’ve advanced to me?

Storfund’s dashboards combine a high level overview of your fees with transactional detail.

  • Who shouldn’t use Daily Advance?

Onboarding

  • I sell on multiple marketplaces/platforms. Do I need to apply for each one separately?

No. You can submit one application for all your marketplaces, just select all the marketplaces/platforms where you want to use Daily Advance.

  • What is the onboarding process?

There are two stages to onboarding.

    Stage 1:

    • You sync your sales data with the Storfund platform
    • You complete KYB (know your business)
    • You grant us view-only access to your account

After Stage 1, we assess your application; we’ll get back to you in 48 hours.

    Stage 2

    • Accept your fee offer
    • Sign our contract
    • Tell us where to pay your advances
    • Change your nominated bank account on your platform to one issued by Storfund. This enables us to receive your payouts.

Watch our video on how to apply.

  • I’m interested, but I’m not sure if I am ready to apply?

Syncing your sales data – the first step of the application process – takes just 2-3 minutes. Once you have completed this one of our account managers will contact you for an informal discussion, and the information you have supplied will ensure the meeting is tailored to your business, then you can decide if you would like to proceed.

Watch our video on how to apply.

  • How long does onboarding take?

You can be up and running in 48 hours.

Watch our video on how to apply.

  • Why do I have to give Storfund view-access to my platform account?

In order for us to perform our due diligence checks we need to see your performance data.

On some marketplaces, we have to ask for ”view and edit” access if “view only” isn’t possible. We will never edit any of your information and all of your data is protected by our signed agreement.

  • Will Daily Advance affect my relationship with my platform?

No. Daily Advance connects securely via your platform’s approved APIs and does not change your payout terms, account standing, or business metrics. We are authorized by all of the platforms we partner with.

  • Is my data secure?

Yes. Daily Advance connects to your platform using secure API integrations. We only access the data required to calculate advances and manage repayments. Storfund operates secure infrastructure and is SOC2 certified.

  • Why do I have to change my bank account?

Your new bank account allows Storfund to receive your payouts – this is how we get repaid for the funds we have advanced to you. We then release the remaining balance of the payout to you.

  • Why does Storfund ask for a Personal Guarantee?

In some cases, a personal guarantee (PG) may be required from customers. A PG is a director or shareholders promise to repay any funds owed to Storfund by their business, and it must be witnessed by a lawyer. This is standard practice and it is just a way to formally secure our position as we do not have any other form of guarantee on the funds we advance.

Your account manager is there to support you and find a resolution if your business is experiencing any problems.

KYB

  • What is KYB and why is it required?

KYB (Know Your Business) – is a regulatory requirement for financial services providers. Storfund sends a secure link; uploading your information takes 5–10 minutes.

  • What ID/documents do you ask for?

To complete our due diligence checks when applying, you will be asked to provide:

    1. Name, date of birth and residential address for all shareholders who hold ownership of 25% or more.
    2. Name, date of birth and residential address for all directors.
    3. One of the following documents in PDF format:
      • Company constitution
      • Articles of incorporation
      • Certificate of incorporation
    4. A bank statement dated within the last three months showing one full month of transactions.
    5. ID and proof of address to complete verification for all shareholders over 25%.
    6. Your tax number.

Refunds/ Chargebacks

  • What happens if I get refunds or chargebacks?

Daily Advance accounts for this by only advancing 80% of the previous day’s fulfilled sales. The remaining 20% stays within the normal payout cycle, which provides a buffer for refunds, returns or chargebacks before the final payout is released.

  • What if I don’t sell on a specific day but I did get fees and refunds?

If your platform fees and refunds are higher than the amount of sales you fulfilled on a particular day, your sales will be negative, that means we won’t advance anything on this day. But this isn’t a problem, your next advance will be lower than usual to get your total advances back to 80% of your total sales.

  • What happens if refunds spike?

Advances adjust automatically if your refunds or chargebacks increase.

Repayments and payouts

  • Will my normal platform payouts change?

Your payout schedule stays the same. The amount at payout will be reduced by the advance already paid out plus the fee – but your total cash is the same, just front-loaded.

  • What happens when my platform pays out?

What happens on a day when there’s a payout?

Step 1: We get repaid for the advances you have received from us.
Step 2: We deduct your fee
Step 3: The remainder is released to you.

Example: Let’s say your platform releases $100

Step 1: We get repaid $80
Step 2: We take our fee of $2
Step 3: You receive the remainder of $18

  • What happens if my marketplace or platform goes bust after I receive advances? Am I on the hook to pay you?

Your marketplace or platform holds your sales revenue in escrow – that means it is your money, simply waiting for them to release it. Even if they go bust, this money will be paid out.

Stopping and pausing

  • Can I stop using Daily Advance at any time?

Contact Storfund to stop. Once advances owed to Storfund have been repaid from your next payout(s), then you can reconnect your own bank account to your marketplace or platform.
