Storfund is a fintech scale-up powering global ecommerce. We provide real-time working capital to sellers on 60+ marketplaces across 30+ countries. We bridge the gap between online sales and cash flow, combining finance and technology to help sellers scale faster.

We’re a fintech, not a bank. So, while we hold ourselves to high standards of integrity, we don’t operate under heavy regulation. That means less red tape, faster decisions and a finance function built to move as quickly as the business.

The Role

This is a brand-new role, and that’s what makes it exciting. You won’t be stepping into someone else’s shoes; you’ll be creating the blueprint.

We want you to shape how we work: building and automating processes that make life easier across the business while keeping our trademark pace and agility. You’ll make our systems fit for scale and ensure we’re audit-ready.

It’s a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys both detail and perspective. You’ll be the bridge between day-to-day bookkeeping and executive-level reporting – making sure the numbers are right, deadlines are met and our reporting stays watertight.

At first, your two big projects will be automation and strengthening controls. Once the foundations are strong, you’ll have the chance to step into the more forward-looking, commercial side of finance: planning, analysis and insight.

You’ll join a small, high-performing finance team where you’ll have visibility across everything from technical accounting to investor reporting and financing pitches. You’ll also work closely with our Tech team to ensure connectivity across everything we do – setting the foundations for a finance function that keeps pace with growth.

What You’ll Do

• Own the numbers. Make sense of them and help everyone else do the same. No jargon. No fluff. Just clear, honest communication that helps the business move.
• Build for scale. Automate finance processes and systems that evolve with the business.
• Keep us compliant (without the red tape). Stay on top of statutory accounts, regulatory filings and tax matters (including payroll). Work seamlessly with our external accountants and auditors. This is about being proactive and organised, not buried in bureaucracy.
• Strengthen our controls. Lead the month-end close, maintain a clean balance sheet and implement practical controls that support (not slow) the business.
• Be part of the big moments. Play a key role in investor and lender due diligence during financing rounds – preparing high-quality data, building confidence in our numbers and showcasing the strength of our financial foundations.
• Grow with us. Over time, expand into financial planning, analysis and insight – working closely with our Management Accountant and learning from each other along the way.

What We’re Looking For

• ACA-qualified accountant with 5+ years PQE and strong audit experience under your belt.
• A builder’s mindset: You enjoy creating structure, improving processes and finding smarter ways to get things done.
• A hands-on operator who’s as comfortable diving into the detail as you are stepping back to see the bigger picture.
• Tech-curious: Always looking for smarter, more automated ways to run finance.
• Collaborative and pragmatic: You build structure where it’s needed and flexibility where it matters.
• A clear communicator who can translate finance into plain English and build trust across teams.
